The purpose of this meeting is to assist Jon Tack in his campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in Iowa's 2nd U.S. Congressional district! We need to discuss all the many ways we can help Jon. We have an excellent candidate in Jon and I truly believe he can win this if we will all pitch in and help. We need people from all over the state to help with this. Come prepared to get involved.
There is no charge for the room, but those who want can purchase food.
- Marvin Creech Chairman, Constitution Party of Iowa

Foreign Policy
The Constitution Party of Iowa's platform clearly outlines a stance on foreign policy which avoids becoming needlessly entangled in the affairs of foreign governments, but rather focus on retaining and protecting the individual freedoms we prize. In marked contrast to this approach to foreign policy, the State Department is planning to send radical Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf on an "outreach" mission to several countries in the middle east. Click here for more information regarding the plans to send Rauf, who is currently at the center of the controversial New York mosque project, and who has in the past refused to recognize Hamas as an organization which supports terrorism, overseas on our behalf.
The Judiciary
Judicial activism is a hot topic in the State of Iowa and around the country this year. There is a significant and growing movement to send a message regarding the people's dislike for having their will, as expressed through their representatives, disregarded. This movement to remove three Iowa Supreme Court justices up for a retention vote this year is, however, something that candidate and former Governor Terry Branstad is unwilling to take a stand for or against. There is a clear Constitutional conflict seen in this pattern of behavior exhibited by the judicial branch, and the people's leaders should encourage them to take their power back and restore it to their representatives where it belongs.
Principles or Posturing?
Nearly every week that goes by seems to now involve the introduction or modification of an additional idea for an amendment to the Constitution to right a wrong of some sort. While even the thought of giving serious consideration to amending the Constitutions of either the United States or each individual State with anything approaching the frequency with which the discussions are now taking place is discomforting, it may all just be for show. This author shares his viewpoint on historical precedent that may indicate this is all just more talk without reinforcing action based on principles behind it.
